Dearest Michael,
Last night we went through the images together, one by one.  What stuck me was the beauty of the day.  You tell a compelling story, and your eye is so finely attuned to detail and emotion.  One of my favorite photos is the one of my brothers-in-law playing guitar together.  I know how happy they are to play together, and they so rarely get to do it, and I was aware that I had given them a gift by providing them the opportunity to do so.  It was so moving to me to see it there in front of me; you captured the emotion of their union so beautifully.
 
I also caught my breath at the picture of P's adopted daughter P, in her moment of emotion during her reading at the ceremony.  She surprised us all very much with her reaction.  She seems to be tough as nails all the time, always the one who is on task with her efficiency and competence.  But you captured the true girl, there in an image, and it will be one that we will treasure for sure.
 
The other thing I want to share with you is that it was a true pleasure having your presence with us on our day.  You are gifted with people, keeping us calm and focused, and lending a beautiful energy.  Last night we had the opportunity to watch the first of several video tapes that were taken that day, and I was moved and amused to see you pinning boutenierres on P's groomsmen.  P was struggling with it and his brother invited you over, because he had seen you pin someone else successfully.  It touched my heart to see you take that on and do it so lovingly. I felt very cared for in that moment.
 
I so look forward to seeing the rest of the images. Thank you for a job that was truly well done.

It is not fair for me to look at these pictures without telling you how much I love them. These pictures are unbelievable! There are so many great pictures of everyone. I can't believe what a wonderful job you did recording our day. Not only did you capture the emotions felt by everyone but you also added such creativity to our portraits and captured the idiosyncrasies of our friends and families' personalities. Some of the portraits and candids are works of art and look almost like paintings. Somehow you managed to be everywhere. The one thing I truly wanted after the wedding was nice pictures. I have to tell you these are exactly what I had wished they would be. I really appreciate how hard you worked to make our pictures so great. Only a true artist and professional would be able to do such an awesome job. Thank you so much! I am so happy we chose you to photograph our wedding. Now the biggest problem we are going to have is narrowing it down to the ones we are going to use in our album.
